Peuterschool De Hoeksteen is a location of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, located at Kerkwervesingel 24-30 in Charlois. We provide a familiar and safe environment where toddlers aged 2 to 4 are playfully stimulated to take steps in their development. We work closely with primary school De Hoeksteen, making the transition to primary school literally and figuratively smaller. Our preschool is a small-scale location with one vertical group of up to 12 children. The bright environment radiates calmness and appeals to children at their own level. We are a Lekker Fit location, an initiative of the municipality of Rotterdam to get children moving more. Daily, we offer at least 30 minutes of movement activities that connect with the theme we are working on. Outdoor play is an important part of our day. Children can run freely and further develop their motor skills on our own playground or that of the school. We also regularly make trips to the forest, playground Neeltje Jans, or the petting zoo. For nutrition, we consciously choose healthy options. Children receive fresh fruit daily, a healthy warm meal, and raw vegetables. We more often offer water and tea instead of juice.
