Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location De Akker Millinxparkhuis, situated in the lively Millinxparkhuis community centre on Millinxstraat 69 in Rotterdam-Charlois. Since 1996 we have been offering children aged 2 to 4 a warm second home. As part of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool – an organisation with more than 70 locations throughout the city – we provide a safe, familiar environment where every child is free to be themselves and learns through play.
Our work is guided by eight promises: “I am ready for school”, “The teacher knows exactly what I need”, “I love doing it myself”, “I learn: play together, share together”, “Everyone is my friend”, “I am a #fitkid”, “I dare, I can, I may do anything!” and “My mum and dad join in”. These principles come to life in a rich programme of music, arts & crafts, reading, outdoor play and nature discovery. While playing, children practise language, motor and social skills, giving them a flying start when they enter primary school.
Our groups are organised horizontally by age. We offer half-day sessions from Monday to Friday; during playtime the toddlers enjoy a healthy snack with fruit and a drink. Allergies and special diets are taken into account. Close cooperation with CBS De Ark, located in the same building, ensures a smooth transition to primary education.
In short, De Akker Millinxparkhuis is the place where your toddler feels safe, challenged and loved. We look forward to welcoming you for a tour or an informal introductory meeting.Read more
