Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location Da Costa in Feijenoord! We provide small-scale childcare for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years at Johannes Brandstraat 3 in Rotterdam. As part of Peuter & Co, we create a safe play and learning environment where every child can be themselves and development is central. Our location follows the pedagogical policy of Peuter & Co, where we prepare toddlers for primary school through play. We focus on seven key development areas: language, numeracy, motor skills, creativity, social skills, self-reliance and healthy lifestyle. Every day we go outside, because movement is a must for us. We play ball games to develop balance and coordination and provide targeted materials for both gross and fine motor skills, both indoors and outdoors. Our pedagogical staff guide toddlers in small age groups. They observe, signal and tailor activities to what the child needs. We work with the Toddler Steps model, through which we systematically track each child's progress. Language development receives extra attention: we read aloud, sing songs and stimulate vocabulary expansion. Parents are actively involved in the development program and receive tips to support language development at home as well. Collaboration with parents is important to us. We organize parent meetings, information sessions and involve parents in activities. Our location works closely with primary school Da Costa, creating a continuous line between preschool and school.
