De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location Beatrixschool is located on the ground floor of primary school Beatrixschool at Krabbendijkestraat 240 in Rotterdam-Charlois. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years in two sessions: mornings from 08:35 to 11:50 and afternoons from 12:20 to 15:35, Monday through Friday. Because we share the building with the primary school, the transition to regular education becomes literally and figuratively smaller. Our qualified staff use the Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme, offering themes that connect to toddlers’ everyday experiences—such as seasons, emotions, traffic or health. Through play we stimulate language development, social-emotional growth, fine and gross motor skills, and each child’s self-confidence. We believe play is the most powerful form of learning. Therefore we provide a safe, familiar environment where toddlers can explore, experiment and play together. Activities are varied and tailored to each child’s developmental stage. We go outside every day so children can run, climb and discover the outside world. Parents living in the Feijenoord, Charlois or IJsselmonde districts may qualify for free toddler care provided by the municipality of Rotterdam.
