De Regenboog A. van Pinxterenlaan

Welcome to BSO De Regenboog A. van Pinxterenlaan, part of KION Kinderopvang. Our location is situated at Antoinette van Pinxterenlaan 4 in Nijmegen, in the same building as St. Nicolaas primary school. We provide after-school care for children aged 7 to 13 years, with space for up to 48 children divided into two groups. Inside, we have two cozy group rooms with various play areas. Children can enjoy a healthy snack at our vegetable and fruit bar, get creative in our construction corner, or let their imagination run wild in our theatre space. Outside, there is a secure enclosed playground with climbing equipment and a large football field where children can burn off energy. Our activity programme is varied and tailored to the age and interests of the children. We regularly organise creative workshops in our art studio, where children can draw, paint and craft. In our kitchen, we cook and bake healthy and delicious dishes together. There is also plenty of room for sports and games, both on our own playground and during trips to the nearby Goffertpark or the small forest next to the school. Sometimes we also visit the petting zoo. We work closely with St. Nicolaas primary school. Four times a year, our cluster manager and a pedagogical staff member meet with the school principal to optimise our collaboration. When there are any concerns, we organise a three-way conversation with a teacher from the school, a member of our after-school care team, and the parents (and the child if appropriate). Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to provide children with a pleasant and safe time after school. We believe it is important that children can relax after an intensive school day, but are also sufficiently challenged to discover new things. We look at what each child needs and tailor our programme accordingly. Parents can rely on us for care before and after school, during study days and school holidays.
