De Rakkertjes (Halve dagopvang)

We are Peuteropvang De Rakkertjes, a small-scale half-day centre run by SKBNM at Boomkleverlaan 5 in Bussum. Every morning we welcome up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 in a homely, cheerful space designed entirely around their developmental stage. Our motto is simple: discover through play, grow together. Our pedagogical staff follow a fixed daily rhythm that offers calm and security. We start the day with a circle time where children use choice cards to indicate where they want to play. This way they learn to make choices and naturally come into contact with other children. The spacious group room is divided into different corners: a home corner for role-play, a construction corner for creating, a craft corner for creative outbursts and a sand table for sensory play. In addition, we have a challenging outdoor garden where children can climb, balance and hide in the green maze. The natural play environment stimulates motor skills and the child’s brain. We believe it is important that every child feels seen. That is why our activities match what the group needs. One week we bake cookies in the oven, the next week we go on a trip with the car or take a green discovery tour. We adapt our play materials annually so that they continue to match the children’s world of experience. In between, there is shared fruit and drinks, and of course plenty of room for free play. De Rakkertjes is there for parents looking for a safe, warm place where their child can play, learn and above all be themselves. We work closely with parents and like short lines.
