Welcome to BSO De Pionier, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland, located at Alde Terp 2 in Dokkum. We provide after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our location is part of the Integral Child Center (IKC) De Pionier, where we work closely with Christelijke Basisschool De Pionier. This unique collaboration ensures a continuous development line for your child. Our BSO is situated in a beautiful rural area, where children have plenty of space to play outside, play football or hide and seek in our extensive playground. We regularly use the nearby city garden for various projects and excursions. This natural environment offers endless opportunities for discovery and adventure. We create a rich and challenging play and learning environment where children can discover, try out and experience new things. Our pedagogical staff organize various activities tailored to the children's interests. We also actively involve parents in the themes that the children are working on, so that development can continue at home. The BSO is open Monday through Friday from the time school ends until 6:30 PM. On study days and during school holidays, we are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We work closely with the primary school and keep communication lines short to ensure optimal coordination. Children from our BSO regularly join school children for joint activities such as monthly theater performances and celebrations like Sinterklaas and Christmas.
