De peuterspeelzaal Onderdendam

Welcome to De peuterspeelzaal Onderdendam, a small-scale pre-school care centre located in the Zijlvesterhoek community centre at Achterweg 1, Onderdendam. We are part of the foundation "Onderdendam Speelt" and welcome toddlers aged 2 to 4, offering a safe and familiar place where children learn and grow through play. We are open four mornings a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Two horizontal groups of up to eight children each allow teacher Alet and her colleagues to give every child the individual attention they deserve. The room features a large reading corner, creative area for crafts and themed activities, and direct access to a secure outdoor garden where we spend a lot of time exploring nature. Our programme follows early childhood education guidelines, gently preparing children for primary school. Fresh fruit and healthy snacks are included; a warm lunch can be ordered. For the littlest ones we provide a separate sleeping corner and our own diaper container, so parents do not need to bring diapers.
