De Paddestoel

BSO De Paddestoel, located at Ambachtsmark 61 in Almere, provides after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a homely and secure setting. We are part of the well-established De Paddestoel childcare centre that has served families in Almere for many years. Our after-school facility is intentionally small-scale: we welcome a maximum of 37 children at a time. This allows every member of our qualified pedagogical staff to know each child personally. Children are grouped horizontally with peers of the same age, ensuring activities and play are always age-appropriate. Our bright, spacious rooms are equipped with materials suited to primary-school children, and our safe outdoor playground offers plenty of space to run, climb and unwind after a busy school day. We collect children from nearby primary schools. On arrival, a healthy snack and drink are waiting. Children then decide for themselves how to spend their afternoon: active play in the garden, construction games, crafts, board games or simply relaxing with a book. Our educators facilitate when needed, yet give children the freedom to make their own choices and build friendships. During school holidays we run a varied programme of excursions and workshops—think treasure hunts in the local park, sports days or creative projects. We also accommodate individual schedules such as sports clubs or music lessons; whenever possible we drop off and pick up children at the agreed times. Clear communication with parents is key. There is time for a quick chat at pick-up and drop-off, and we are always reachable by phone or e-mail for urgent matters. At De Paddestoel children feel at home, can be themselves and create lasting memories with friends.
