de Ontdektuin

Welcome to de Ontdektuin, our daycare centre located at Pottenbakkerstraat 11A in Etten-Leur. We are part of Norlandia Childcare and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our focus is on outdoor play, free exploration and discovery. We have our own discovery garden where children can explore natural materials and move around freely. We aim to spend at least 20 minutes outside at least once a day, because fresh air and space to run, climb and play are essential for young children's development. Our groups are set up with different play corners which we regularly enrich to match the interests and needs of the children. For us, play is the most important tool through which children discover the world. We provide a safe, homely environment where every child can be themselves and develop at their own pace. Our motto is: “A safe journey of discovery in a homely atmosphere”. We work with fixed childcare staff who know and guide each child personally. Each child is assigned a mentor who pays extra attention to the development and well-being of that specific child. The mentor is the regular contact person for parents and keeps track of the child monitoring system. In this way we create stability and trust for both children and parents. At de Ontdektuin we value good contact with parents. We share daily how the day went and are happy to discuss how we can support your child's development together.
