De Ontdektuin

Welcome to De Ontdektuin, our small-scale daycare center in the heart of Dongen. We provide care for up to 8 children aged 2 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our location is situated at Kastanjestraat 26, 5104CL Dongen, right next to nature area De Bergen, allowing us to make daily use of the beautiful outdoor space for natural play and learning experiences. At De Ontdektuin, we believe in the importance of learning through play. Our toddler group is a small, close-knit community where children explore together through play. We start the day together in a circle with reading books, singing songs, and dancing. Then there's plenty of room for creative activities like crafting, painting, and building. We regularly go outside for walks, play in the sandbox, and get wonderfully dirty in nature. Our approach is designed to help children develop independence and self-confidence. We follow each child's pace and offer activities that match their interests and developmental level. The small group size allows us to give lots of individual attention and build close relationships with each child and family. We offer flexible childcare options, with half-day sessions in the morning from 8:30-12:00 and in the afternoon from 13:00-16:30. Extended care until 13:00 is possible by arrangement. This way, we can respond to the different needs of parents and children. At De Ontdektuin, we find it important that children feel safe and at home. Our experienced pedagogical staff create a warm, stimulating environment where children can be themselves and develop fully. We work closely with parents and hold regular parent meetings to discuss each child's development.
