De Lapjeskat

Located in the Oude Ambachten neighbourhood of Ridderveld, De Lapjeskat is a child centre that houses every type of care under one roof. Our daycare section is dedicated to children from 0 to 4 years old. Groups are arranged horizontally, so your baby or toddler always plays and develops with peers of the same age. Indoors and outdoors everything is set up for exploration and play. Our discovery garden offers a sandpit, grass field and plenty of greenery to investigate. We regularly take trips to the petting farm and explore the neighbourhood together. With toddlers the focus is on discovering individual talents alongside friends. We stay curious about the world around us and learn something new every day. Creativity is highly valued. In our studio children can craft, paint and build to their heart’s content. We sing together, make music and tell stories to stimulate language development. We also cook and bake regularly; carrying out a simple recipe together is not only educational but also great fun. De Lapjeskat uses Early Childhood Education (ECE). Through play we prepare children for primary school, paying attention to language, numeracy and social skills. Our pedagogical staff closely follow each child’s development and tailor activities accordingly. Day-care De Lapjeskat is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. Half-day care is possible and we offer flexible childcare to match your working hours. Need earlier care? Contact our customer service; starting at 07:00 is often possible by arrangement.
