De Kweekvijver

Welcome to Peuteropvang De Kweekvijver, located at Paling 2 in the heart of Oostzaan. We are part of De Kweekvijver primary school and provide daycare for children aged 2 to 4. Our goal is to prepare children for primary school in a playful way, respecting their individual pace and abilities. We work with small-scale, horizontal age grouping where children of the same age come together. This provides calm and familiarity, and allows our pedagogical staff to closely match each child’s developmental stage. Our spaces are warmly decorated and inviting, with different corners for play, discovery and learning. We have our own outdoor playground where children go outside daily to move and explore nature. Creativity and expression are central to our program. We use themes that connect to children’s experiences and offer activities such as music-making, drawing and crafts, reading aloud and language games. We have fixed moments for music and movement, working with specialist teachers from the primary school. This not only stimulates motor development but also imagination and self-confidence. We believe it is important that children feel safe and seen. Our pedagogical staff are involved and ready to guide children in their play and development. We work closely with parents and hold regular parent meetings to discuss the child’s development. We also offer the opportunity to come for a visit or schedule a tour. Peuteropvang De Kweekvijver is open on weekdays and offers both half-day and full-day care. We work with fixed groups and maintain a waiting list. Registration is possible early in pregnancy to secure a place.
