De Klimappel

Welcome to De Klimappel, a small-scale and caring playgroup located at Lanckhorstlaan 9 in the heart of Heemstede. For many years we have been the trusted place where toddlers aged 2 to 4 happily come to play, explore and grow together with their little friends. Our close-knit, permanent team of pedagogical staff is well known in the neighbourhood; we know every child and each other inside out. This sense of security is the foundation of everything we do. At De Klimappel we work in horizontal groups of up to 16 children with two regular pedagogical professionals. This setup guarantees calm, recognition and room for individual attention. We open every school morning at 8:30 am and play until 12:00 pm; during school holidays we are closed, so our calendar fits seamlessly with the lives of young families. Our programme is rich in language and creative activities. We sing songs, do arts and crafts, read aloud and work around current themes that stimulate language development. In a playful way toddlers practise their first vocabulary, learn to play together and discover the world around them. Fruit, drinks and a clean nappy are provided by us; parents only need to bring an extra set of clothes. De Klimappel is part of Casca Kinderopvang, a professional organisation that also provides after-school care at the Jacobaschool. Through Casca’s Parent App we keep parents updated daily on how their child experienced the morning. In addition, we conduct an annual customer satisfaction survey so that, together with parents, we can keep working on the best possible start for their child.
