Welcome to De Kleine Wereld Van Ostadestraat, our homely daycare center located in the heart of Amsterdam's vibrant De Pijp neighborhood. Situated within De Derde Dalton primary school at Van Ostadestraat 272, we provide daily care for 28 children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, family-like atmosphere. Our approach centers on personal attention and creating a safe, stimulating environment where every child can be themselves. We operate two distinct groups: a baby group for children aged 0-2 years and a toddler group for children aged 2-4 years. Each group has its own dedicated space, thoughtfully designed with calm colors and various play areas. Large windows offer beautiful views of our green courtyard and fill the rooms with natural light. Our passionate and qualified pedagogical staff know each child personally and provide the space for them to develop at their own pace. We believe children learn best through play and discovery, which is why we offer a rich variety of activities: from arts and crafts and singing to cooking in our outdoor kitchen and gardening in our vegetable garden. We regularly take trips to the nearby Sarphatipark and the lively Albert Cuyp market. Every afternoon, we serve a warm, freshly prepared meal that we cook ourselves. We accommodate food allergies and dietary requirements. For our youngest children, we provide bottle feeding and support with transitioning to solid foods. All children have their own bed in a separate sleeping room where they can rest when needed. Our location features its own outdoor space with a safe play area for babies and an engaging garden for toddlers. We work closely with the after-school care (BSO) located on the same premises, ensuring a smooth transition when children turn 4. We take pride in our preschool education program (VE) offered in collaboration with the primary school. This program playfully prepares toddlers for elementary school. Parents are always welcome, and we value working together to support each child's development. De Kleine Wereld Van Ostadestraat is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
