De Kleine Wereld

Welcome to De Kleine Wereld at Spieringstraat 87 in the heart of Gouda. Since 2001 we have been offering childcare for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, homely atmosphere. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register and has room for up to 36 children. Everything we do revolves around the child. We believe every child is unique and develops at his or her own pace. Therefore we work with both horizontal and vertical groups, allowing children to grow up safely in a stable, social environment. Each child has a fixed core group where familiar routines around eating and sleeping take place. During the day there is plenty of opportunity for meeting others: at drop-off and pick-up times, during outdoor play and through our open-door policy. Our daily programme is deliberately structured and highly varied. All areas of development are addressed in a playful way: social-emotional, motor, language, cognitive, sensory and creative. We sing, do arts and crafts, read aloud and explore in our own garden. Activities are always tailored to the child’s world of experience, stimulating imagination and naturally introducing new words and concepts. For the very youngest we follow the familiar rhythm from home as much as possible; a caring, trusting relationship with our pedagogical staff is central. Parents experience De Kleine Wereld as an extension of home. We find it extremely important to shape childcare together with you, so that your child feels safe and secure and can develop optimally.
