Welcome to De Kleine Wereld Mauritskade! Our daycare centre is located in a modern and attractive building right behind the well-known Dappermarkt and diagonally opposite the Tropenmuseum. The location breathes the cultural atmosphere of Amsterdam-East and offers a warm, homely environment where children from 0 to 4 years can develop safely. Inside we have atmospheric, bright group rooms with large windows that create an inviting character. The furnishings are calm and warm, so children feel comfortable and are not over-stimulated. Each group has separate bedrooms with a bed for every child. Around the building there is a private outdoor playground with natural elements such as an outdoor kitchen, sand play area and plenty of space to cycle. For the very youngest there is a separate outdoor corner where they can play undisturbed. We work with vertical groups, in which children from 0 to 4 years play and learn together. Our pedagogical staff are ready with personal attention and guide the children in their development. We take daily walks in the immediate area, visiting places such as the Dappermarkt and the Oosterpark. We believe it is important that children discover the outside world and learn from their environment. Our creative and dedicated team ensures that every child feels seen and valued. We believe in an approach where childcare is more than just childcare: it is a place where children can be who they are and where play and development go hand in hand.
