De Kleine Wereld IKC Frankendael

Welcome to De Kleine Wereld IKC Frankendael, our warm daycare centre located at Laing's Nekstraat 44, right in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost's vibrant Transvaal neighbourhood. As part of the Integral Child Centre Frankendael, we provide care for up to 68 children aged 0 to 4 years, creating one continuous developmental line together with primary school IKC Frankendael for children aged 0 to 12 years. Our location is open daily from 07:30 to 18:30 and consists of one baby group (0-2 years) and two toddler groups (2-4 years). We work with a horizontal group structure, where children come together in age groups. Our team of certified pedagogical professionals is ready every day to provide the youngest children with a safe and challenging environment where fun and development go hand in hand. At De Kleine Wereld, we understand that childcare is much more than just childcare. We believe children are unique individuals with a natural drive for self-development. Therefore, we offer an environment full of possibilities where each child can discover at their own level and pace. Our pedagogical approach is based on collaboration with parents, because only together can we bring out the best in every child. Our activities are specially tailored for young children. We provide pre-school education (VE), where we work playfully on language and speech development. Making music, creative activities and reading aloud are part of our daily programme. We regularly cook and bake with the children, where they discover new flavours and learn to work together. We also regularly go on excursions in the neighbourhood, using the urban environment as a learning environment. Our modern location has its own outdoor playground where children can play and discover safely. We take care of all practical matters: nappies, wipes and care products are included, as well as healthy meals and snacks. For children with allergies or special dietary requirements, we have suitable alternatives. We communicate with parents through our parent app, keeping you informed about your child's development.
