De Kleine Wereld Smaragdplein

De Kleine Wereld Smaragdplein is our after-school care location right on Smaragdplein in Amsterdam-Zuid. Located at number 5, in the heart of the Rivierenbuurt, we are just a short walk from the local primary school, making the transition from classroom to after-school fun seamless. We welcome up to twenty children each day, creating a close-knit community where every child has room to be themselves. The afternoon starts with a warm welcome and a healthy snack. From there, children decide what they want to do: run around our own square outside, craft, play games or simply relax on the sofa. We believe that alternating relaxation and challenge helps children flourish, especially when they can choose for themselves. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to join in, think along and, above all, to listen. We work closely with parents and school. Every day there is time for a brief handover so you know exactly how the afternoon went. Our location is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., ensuring wrap-around care around school hours.
