De Kleine Roos-crèche

De Kleine Roos is a small-scale daycare center located in a beautiful, atmospheric and especially green location in Amsterdam East-Watergraafsmeer. A wonderful place where a maximum of 15 children aged 0 to 4 years are cared for in one vertical group. Since 2004, we have been providing childcare in a homely atmosphere with our own adjacent private garden where children can play and explore to their heart's content. Our team consists of 7 permanent staff members, including manager Albertine ter Keurst, who is present 4 days a week and joins the group herself when needed. We work with a stable team where all pedagogical staff have been working with us for a longer period. Regularly, an additional staff member is present to give babies or older children extra individual attention. Each child has a fixed mentor who periodically discusses the child's development with the parents. Our approach is based on a clear daily routine with fixed transition moments announced with a singing bowl. This provides children with the necessary predictability and emotional security. We encourage children's independence by offering toys at child height and involving them in daily activities such as washing their own face after meals. The private garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experiences. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and provide care for children from 12 weeks to 4 years old. As a small-scale daycare, we can flexibly respond to the individual needs of each child and offer a warm, familiar environment where children can safely develop.
