De kleine bas

Welcome to De kleine bas, our intimate playgroup located at Gong 3 in Capelle aan den IJssel. We are part of the Stichting Katholieke Peuteropvang Rotterdam en omstreken and have provided a trusted environment for toddlers aged 2 to 4 since 2012. With 32 registered places arranged in three stable groups, children play, discover and learn at their own pace. Our homelike building opens onto a spacious garden where children can play and explore every day. Inside, everything is designed for the toddler experience: colourful corners, child-sized tables and quiet nap areas for those who need a rest. We deliberately keep group sizes small so that every child receives the individual attention they deserve. Pedagogically we follow the VVE programme ‘Doe meer met Bas’ and Logo 3000. This means we offer focused activities that match your child’s developmental stage: language games, story time, arts and crafts, singing and movement. We use a pupil tracking system (LVS) to closely monitor each child’s progress and actively involve parents in their development. During the session children receive a healthy snack with fruit and drinks. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. Our permanent team of qualified pedagogical staff is ready every day to give your child a safe and stimulating experience. De kleine bas offers both half-day care and extended care. We work closely with primary school De Contrabas, located on the same premises, which eases the transition to primary education. Parents can share ideas and feedback through our parent committee and we are always open to your questions. Together we ensure that your toddler enjoys coming to De kleine bas and can confidently take the next step in their development.
