De Kindervilla

Welcome to De Kindervilla, a warm and homely daycare centre in the heart of Oldemarkt. Since 2005 we have been providing a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 4 at Hoofdstraat 73. Our small scale – a maximum of 16 places – guarantees personal attention and a familiar atmosphere in which every child quickly feels at home. We work with vertical grouping. Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers share one group. This allows the very youngest to learn from the older children and helps the pre-schoolers develop caring skills and a sense of responsibility. Our qualified staff really know every child: they follow your child’s natural rhythm, offer cuddles when needed and provide play opportunities that match each stage of development. Our day starts with a cosy circle time. We sing together, read a picture book and make room for discovery. Afterwards there is plenty of time to play in our bright, spacious group room or in the enclosed garden. Whenever the sun shines we head outside: running, building sandcastles, splashing in puddles or simply enjoying the fresh air. Outdoor play is just as important as indoor activities; it stimulates the senses and contributes to healthy development. We also offer a variety of activities tailored to the children’s age and interests. Think singing and making music, creative craft projects, story time and simple games that encourage language development. We use our own voices, real instruments and natural materials. Everything revolves around fun, curiosity and discovering talents. For the very youngest we have separate sleeping areas with cribs and toddler beds. Bottle feeding, fruit and drinks are included; any dietary requirements are happily discussed with you. Nappies and care products are also provided, so you can work or study without worry.
