De Kindertuin

Peuterspeelzaal De Kindertuin is part of KindeRdam and is located at Bijlwerffstraat 2 in the heart of Rotterdam-Blijdorp. We welcome toddlers aged 2 to 4 in two small-scale groups, each with its own cosy room. Our setting is housed within Cos De Wereld and benefits from modern school facilities. The groups are horizontally structured, ensuring every child is placed in an age group that perfectly matches his or her stage of development. We follow the VVE programme Startblokken. Each day we offer a fixed, predictable rhythm that includes singing, talking and reading aloud in circle time. Children are also free to choose and experiment in our dressing-up, reading, home and construction corners. These areas are richly stocked with challenging materials that spark imagination and stimulate development. We are also a Lekker Fit! location: healthy food and plenty of exercise are central. Outdoors, the toddlers can play safely on our green playground with equipment that supports both gross and fine motor skills. Parental involvement is essential to us. We regularly share observations, organise parent meetings and invite parents to take part in activities. Our qualified pedagogical staff all hold a Certificate of Good Conduct and receive ongoing training.
