De Kinderkorf Amstelveen is located in Jac. P. Thijssepark, near the Amsterdamse Bos, on Amsterdamseweg. For over 32 years we have provided reliable and committed childcare in a homely atmosphere. Our location is housed in a former infant school from 1953 that was converted into a daycare center in 1989. A complete renovation followed in 2003 and in 2008 a second building was added, allowing us to accommodate four vertical groups of 12 children each. We deliberately remain small-scale to guarantee personal attention and quality. Our vertical groups form one big family where children from 0 to 4 years grow up together. The different ages create a natural learning environment where younger children learn from older ones and older children learn to be caring. Our pedagogical staff therefore have space and time for individual attention, also because naps are spread throughout the day. Our location has a total area of 1,300 m², of which 400 m² is built on. The spacious 900 m² garden is specially designed to provide play challenges for children aged 0-4. The natural environment with Van Leerpark, Thijssepark and Amsterdamse Bos offers endless opportunities for discovery and outdoor play. We believe it's important that children can develop freely at their own pace, with love, attention, safety and good care being central. Preparation for primary school is done through our preschool education program Uk & Puk, through which we playfully stimulate children's development. The Kinderkorf is truly a second home for children and parents, where everyone feels welcome.
