Kindcentrum De Kei

Welcome to Kindcentrum De Kei, a modern integral child centre in the Schothorst district of Amersfoort. Since November 2022 we are located in a brand-new, bright and sustainable building at Abraham Blankaartsingel 67. Our day-care centre is part of Kindcentrum De Kei, in which we seamlessly connect education and childcare. We provide care for children from 0 to 4 years in a safe, homely environment where every child can be themselves. Our pedagogical vision is clear: children have been at the centre of everything we do for more than 30 years. We prepare children for a world that is changing ever faster by teaching them new skills. We work from one pedagogical vision on development and education, in which we work together with parents, teachers and experts to achieve optimal growth and development for every child. Our spaces are modernly furnished with lots of natural light and offer plenty of opportunities to play, discover and learn. For the very youngest we have quiet bedrooms and outdoor cots, so that children can sleep or rest comfortably. We find outdoor sleeping important; therefore each group has its own bedroom and a number of outdoor cots outside. Our location is situated in a beautiful, quiet environment surrounded by nature. Children can get to know our goats, donkeys, chickens, pigs and rabbits. They are allowed to pet, feed, care for and cuddle the animals, always under the supervision of a pedagogical employee. In our vegetable garden, children learn about nature in a playful way. They sow seeds themselves, water plants and see how vegetables and flowers grow. This not only stimulates their curiosity, but also their sense of responsibility and patience. We offer pre-school education (VVE), which gives children a strong foundation from an early age for their further development. Registration for our day-care centre is possible from three months of pregnancy. We work with horizontal groups, with babies, toddlers and preschoolers in separate age groups. This provides peace, structure and age-appropriate activities. We are proud to offer education and childcare under one roof at one location, where parents have one point of contact for all their questions.
