De Kantine

BSO De Kantine is located in a former korfball clubhouse at Enk 192 in the Vreewijk district of Rotterdam. What stands out is the enormous outdoor play area with grass, artificial turf, and an asphalt field for sports and play. Inside, the cheerful colors used in the decoration and the view of the sports fields catch the eye. There is also an atelier where children can fully express themselves. BSO De Kantine is a 4+ BSO; the youngest children are cared for here. This creates a safe and pleasant environment for this group. The transition to BSO Buitengewoon takes place when children are between 7 and 8 years old. There is a transition protocol for this. BSO Buitengewoon is located next to BSO De Kantine and the children play together on the sports complex. By splitting the age groups, children are offered age-appropriate activities. Parent involvement is very important to us. We have an active parent committee that functions as a district parent committee for the Vreewijk district. Parents from BSO Buitengewoon and Kindcentrum Vreewijk are also part of this parent committee. The children are picked up on foot by the pedagogical staff from school (OBS de Mare and Paus Joannesschool). At BSO De Kantine, children never get bored, even during holidays. Every day, children participate in fun and challenging activities around various themes. During Christmas and summer holidays, BSO De Kantine is combined with BSO Vreewijk and BSO Buitengewoon into BSO Vakantieland.
