De Hooiberg

Welcome to BSO De Hooiberg, our welcoming after-school care located within Openbare Basisschool Weidevogels in the Weidevenne district of Purmerend. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 years in a familiar school setting. After school, children walk directly from their classroom to our spacious, colorful care rooms. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, making every child feel at home quickly. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every weekday to pick up children from school or receive them when they arrive independently. After a busy school day, there's plenty of room to unwind. Children choose their own activities: playing outside on the schoolyard, crafting in our creative corner, sports activities in the gym, or playing games together. We work with four fixed base groups: De Eendenvijver (4-6 years), Het Zwanenmeer (5-8 years), Het Vogelnest, and De Zwaluw. Each group has dedicated pedagogical staff who know the children well. We always start the afternoon with a healthy snack. Think fresh vegetables and fruit, crackers with chicken fillet or cheese spread. Then it's time for activities. We regularly organize creative workshops, sports clinics, and nature activities. During school holidays, we make it extra special with workshops provided by our own pedagogical staff or external professionals. For parents who need to work early, we also offer before-school care from 7:00 AM. Children can wake up calmly with fun activities, after which we bring them to their classroom on time. This ensures a relaxed start to the day for the whole family. We work with a 52-week contract, so children can come to us during all school holidays and study days. For extra holiday days, we offer the flexible Holiday Care package. Communication with parents goes through our free Parent App, where we share daily photos and reports of activities, so you never miss anything about your child's development.
