Welcome to Okidoki Hoogwerf, our daycare centre located at Hoogwerf 9 in Naaldwijk. We share the building with primary school De Hoogvlieger and maintain a close partnership. This unique connection allows children to become familiar with the school environment, teachers and daily routines from infancy onwards, creating a natural and trusted transition from childcare to primary education. We provide full-day care from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for children aged 0 to 4. Our setting is organised into two distinct groups: a horizontal baby-toddler group (0-4 years) and a separate toddler group (2-4 years). This structure ensures calm and safety for the youngest children while offering appropriate challenges for toddlers and pre-schoolers. Our qualified staff tailor activities and developmental goals precisely to each child’s age and pace. Through our early childhood education programme (VE) we systematically work on language, numeracy and social skills. These objectives align seamlessly with the approach of De Hoogvlieger primary school, creating one continuous learning pathway. We use proven methods and materials that connect with young children’s world, including thematic work, story time, singing, sound and word games, and discovery in the nature garden we share with the school. Our centre is centrally yet quietly situated in the Hoogeland neighbourhood. Indoors everything is designed for safety and stimulation: colourful areas for play, rest and exploration. Outdoors children can enjoy the playground we share with the primary school. This outdoor space offers ample opportunities for nature and movement activities that support healthy development.
