De Hasselbraam

De Hasselbraam & ’t Porkenhoesie is our after-school care (BSO) location in Gieterveen. We are situated at Bonnerveen 7, right in the village centre, so children from the local primary school can easily walk to us. The site offers 20 regular places and is registered in the National Childcare Register under number 166234709. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12. This means we are open before and after school on school days and during all school holidays. Our qualified staff pick the children up from Gieterveen primary school and bring them safely to our spacious farm-style premises. A warm meal is waiting, after which the children can choose between cosy corners to relax, creative activities or outdoor play in the garden. Our approach is small-scale and homely. We work with fixed groups so that children really get to know each other and the staff. Every afternoon starts with sharing a moment together; afterwards there is room for free initiative as well as structured activities such as crafts, sports and games, drama or cooking. We tailor the programme to the children’s interests and to what each season has to offer. During holidays we organise themed days and excursions to places like the forest, the petting zoo or the swimming pool.
