De Groene Tuin

Welcome to De Groene Tuin at Taselaarstraat 5 in Rotterdam IJsselmonde! We are a daycare centre (KDV) with over 10 years of experience in providing professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4. Our focus is on creating a safe, stimulating and encouraging environment where every child feels welcome and free to be themselves. Our qualified pedagogical staff – all holding a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), relevant childcare diplomas and certificates in paediatric first aid and emergency response – guide your child with full attention. We work in small groups with a ratio of one carer for every four babies or six older children, ensuring plenty of individual attention. Each group room is age-appropriate, bright and spacious. In addition to the group rooms, children can meet in our central hall, a place where different ages come together and learn from one another. Healthy nutrition is just as important to us as play and development. Every day we serve a warm, organic and halal meal, complemented by healthy snacks and plenty to drink. If your child has an allergy or special dietary needs, please let us know; we will adapt our meals accordingly. Outside, there is a large playground with various play equipment. When the weather is nice we spend a lot of time outdoors: we craft, read stories, play games or go on local outings. Our fixed daily routine provides structure and calm, while we work playfully on your child’s cognitive, social-emotional and motor development. We gently prepare children for primary school and offer early childhood education (VVE). Our location at Taselaarstraat 5 in IJsselmonde is inspected by the GGD, easily accessible with ample parking and equipped with camera surveillance. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 18:15, excluding national holidays and two compulsory training days each year. You are warmly invited to come for an informal visit and tour!
