De Groene Korf

BSO De Groene Korf is a lively, sports-oriented after-school care facility that opened in June 2024 on the grounds of korfbal club C.K.C. Maassluis at Wipperspark 1B. We provide care for up to 22 children from IKC De Groene Hoek and IKC De Kindertuin, covering all primary-school ages. After school our own minibuses pick the children up and bring them to the club house, which we have converted into a child-friendly space together with the club members. The large green playing fields of the korfbal club serve as our outdoor area, where children can move freely, join in korfbal games or simply enjoy nature. Our qualified pedagogical staff, Marlieke Terlouw and Lotte Hoogerwerf, are on duty every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon with a varied programme focused on sport, play and cooperation. We work in small, same-age groups so every child feels safe and seen. Together with the children we set group rules and choose activities that match their interests – from learning korfbal techniques to creative crafts and sharing fruit in the canteen. During school study days and holidays we are open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm; on regular school days we welcome children from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. For holiday care we collaborate with IKC De Kindertuin, ensuring a familiar place is always available. Feel free to drop by and have a look – everyone is welcome during our care hours!
