De Groene Kikker

Welcome to De Groene Kikker Daycare, located at Grote Haven 2e in the heart of Haastrecht. We are part of gro-up childcare and provide a warm, small-scale setting for up to 36 children aged 0 to 4. Our three horizontal groups – Kikkertjes (0-24 mths), Plons (15 mths-4 yrs) and Kermit (1-4 yrs) – ensure every child plays in an age-matched group that fits his or her developmental stage. Everything we do centres on a healthy, safe and opportunity-rich environment where children can grow and discover who they are. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk, which playfully stimulates language, numeracy, social-emotional and motor development. Our pedagogical staff observe daily with the KIJK! child-tracking method and tailor activities precisely to what your child needs. Each week a new theme is explored through reading, singing, building and discovering in specially designed corners. Our spacious, bright rooms are on the ground floor and first floor. Downstairs there is also an extra movement room where we regularly run Toddler Gym. Outside we use a recently renewed school playground with natural play elements and our own outdoor area shared with the playgroup and after-school care. When we go on an adventure, we head out into Haastrecht with our push-car. Food, nappies and care products are included; parents only bring a spare set of clothes and a favourite cuddly toy. Dietary wishes are discussed personally so every child receives exactly what he or she needs. Parents stay involved through our parent app with diary, photos and direct contact with the group. This way your child grows at De Groene Kikker in a familiar place on the way to primary school.
