De Groeidroom

Welcome to De Groeidroom, our warm daycare center located at Robert Scottstraat 28 in the heart of Amsterdam-West. We provide care for 16 children in one horizontal group for ages 0-4, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers grow together in a homely atmosphere. Our location is situated on the ground floor of primary school De Springplank, ensuring a smooth transition to elementary school later on. Everything we do revolves around 'learning through play'. Our childcare professionals create a safe environment where each child can discover and grow at their own pace. We work with natural materials and have a sunny outdoor play area of 120 m² where children can climb, build sandcastles and conduct mud kitchen experiments. Daily, we utilize the nearby Erasmuspark for nature outings, where toddlers learn that rain puddles are just as valuable as sandcastles. Our program is rich in stimulating activities tailored to your child's developmental stage. We start the day with interactive reading under our old oak tree, followed by yoga sessions among cushions for the little ones. Preschoolers receive language stimulation through reading moments and singing, while we also focus on early numeracy skills. Our baby groups (2 groups), toddler group (1 group) and preschool group (1 group) follow the VVE program Piramide, which perfectly aligns with primary education. We provide complete care: diapers, wipes and bottle feeding are included. For lunch we serve healthy bread meals with fresh fruit and drinks. Does your child have allergies or special dietary needs? We're happy to think along for suitable solutions. Our sleeping rooms are quietly furnished with cribs and beds, allowing each child to follow their own sleep rhythm. Communication with parents happens through our Parent App, where we weekly share photos of the most beautiful moments. During drop-off and pick-up times, we extensively discuss your child's development. We're open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and offer both full and half-day care.
