Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location De Gouden Griffel, a warm and safe place at Slaghekstraat 5 in Rotterdam-Feijenoord where toddlers aged 2 to 4 years are playfully prepared for primary school. We work intensively together with primary school Piramide, ensuring that the transition for your child later remains literally and figuratively small. Our location accommodates 28 children who play and learn in horizontal age groups. We believe that every child is unique and therefore offer a safe environment where your toddler can be themselves and develop at their own pace. Our pedagogical team consists of specialized staff who know exactly what toddlers need and stimulate them to become independent, social and creative. Language development is central to our program. Through play, songs, reading aloud and interactive activities, we expand your child's vocabulary and communication skills. We work according to the eight promises of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool: we prepare your child for school, create safety, stimulate independence, develop social skills, teach norms and values, encourage healthy movement and eating, and actively involve parents in the process. The municipality of Rotterdam offers all toddlers from 2 years old six hours per week of free preschool education.
