Welcome to toddler day-care De Gezellehoek, located at Rodenbachlaan 31 in the Kroeven district of Roosendaal. We are part of Kober child-care, a trusted West-Brabant organisation that has been close to families for more than 30 years. Our unit is housed in the same building as primary school De Gezellehoek, allowing children aged 2 to 4 to play, explore and prepare for primary school in a familiar environment. Indoors and outdoors are seamlessly connected. The spacious group room has French doors opening onto a lovely outdoor play area; doors open and the fun begins! One small group splashes in the water trough outside while another colours, builds or listens to a story inside. Because the school’s kindergarten children are nearby, our toddlers naturally become familiar with the school setting, making the eventual transition much easier. We follow the In- en Opstapje programme, an extended early-years curriculum (VVE) in which we deliberately focus on language development. We name colours and shapes, count blocks and chat about what is on the table during our healthy children’s lunch. In this playful way toddlers expand their vocabulary and numeracy skills. Parents are actively involved: we share tips and activities you can do at home to support your child’s development. No two days at De Gezellehoek are the same. Children can dress up, build dens, do gym, make music or get creative with paint and craft materials. Our qualified pedagogical staff tailor activities to each child’s curiosity and developmental stage. We keep groups small so every toddler receives the personal attention they deserve. Everything is included: healthy meals, fruit, snacks, drinks and nappies. Parents receive daily photos and messages via the Parent App so you can share in your child’s adventures from a distance.
