De Geldershof

De Geldershof daycare is located at Laauwikstraat 9 in Lent and is part of KION Childcare. We provide care for up to 64 children aged 0 to 4 years. At our daycare, your child is free to be who they are. Our pedagogical staff create a pleasant and calm atmosphere in the group. Your child discovers and tries many things on their own. We encourage your child to develop their own talents through age-appropriate activities. A day at De Geldershof follows a fixed daily routine. After playing, we sit at the table to eat fruit and look at daily routine cards to see what will happen next. We adapt this structure for younger children based on their feeding and sleeping schedule at home. Then your child plays in the various rich corners our daycare offers: kitchen, construction corner, reading corner, chill corner and play cushions. Here your child can discover and learn through play. With different themes, your child also plays with other materials. This way we broaden your child's world of experience according to their age and interests. When weather permits, we play outside. Your child has different experiences outdoors than indoors. Outdoor play is good for your child's development. As part of the De Geldershof broad school, we collaborate with the elementary school. We participate in various holiday celebrations and school-wide activities such as a book market or end-of-year musical. The daycare can join in or watch the performances. When De Geldershof becomes the new school when the child turns 4 and already attends our daycare, transition days at school and after-school care are coordinated during daycare attendance. We work with early childhood education (VE) and when a child's development requires it, we maintain good contact with GGD youth healthcare and neighborhood teams. We also work with MBO and HBO interns.
