De Geheime Tuin BSO Utrecht HP is located at Hieronymusplantsoen 3 in the heart of Utrecht. As part of Stichting De Vrije Peutergroep, we offer anthroposophically inspired after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO is small-scale and works closely with the Vrije School Utrecht locations at Hieronymusplantsoen and Maliebaan. We pick up children after school and provide them with a safe, warm and homely environment where they can relax and develop freely. Our pedagogical approach is based on anthroposophical principles, focusing on the child as a unique individual. We work with fixed rituals and seasonal activities that match the child's developmental stage. Think of celebrating St. John with flower wreaths, singing and dancing, or making seasonal crafts and cooking with organic ingredients. We pay great attention to nature experience and creative expression. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained in anthroposophical childcare and give children space to play, discover and grow at their own pace. The location has a spacious garden where children can play, garden and build. We regularly organize excursions to nature areas, museums and cultural institutions in Utrecht. Our food is organic and we follow the 'eight golden eating rules' where healthy nutrition, taste and enjoyment are central. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account and actively involve children in preparing snacks and meals. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Registration is possible via our website or by direct contact with the location.
