De Fonkeling

Welcome to Korein De Fonkeling, located at Bernadettestraat 1 in Oirschot. We are part of Korein Kinderplein and provide toddler care for children from 2 years old. Our bright, spacious group rooms are housed in the same building as primary school Speelleerplein de Fonkeling, ensuring a smooth and familiar transition into formal education. Everything we do is centred on learning through play. Toddlers explore the world by working with themes, doing arts and crafts, listening to stories and playing outside. We collaborate closely with the kindergarten classes: the children regularly join free-play and themed activities with the kindergarteners, so they already know the teacher, the space and the other children before they actually start school. Outdoors we have a safe, green playground with natural play structures and sand- and water elements. Indoors the corners are invitingly arranged with attractive materials that spark curiosity and stimulate language and motor development. Our pedagogical staff follow the VVE programme ‘Startblokken’. Each day has a fixed routine that includes circle time, a creative activity, outdoor play and a rest period. In between, the children receive a healthy piece of fruit and a drink. For children with food allergies we adjust the offer in consultation with parents. Half-day places are available: you can choose a morning or afternoon session from 08:30 – 12:30 or 12:30 – 16:30. This provides flexibility and aligns well with preparation for school hours. We look forward to discovering, playing and growing together with your toddler in a safe, familiar environment.
