De Familieschool

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of De Familieschool, located at Jan Glijnisweg 61 in the heart of Heerhugowaard. We provide before- and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, right inside the familiar school building. Our vertical groups bring toddlers, kindergarteners and older children together; this creates a warm, family-like atmosphere in which every child feels seen. Our pedagogical staff are ready every weekday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Before school we start calmly: wake up gently, enjoy a healthy breakfast and play games that get the mind going. After school it is time to relax, discover and be together. We make full use of our spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Children can choose creative corners, build in the garden or simply read in the quiet corner. Exercise is of course part of it: running, climbing and playing in our green playground. At De Familieschool we believe in ‘Living together, learning together’. This idea is reflected in everything we do. We address children’s talents and give them responsibility within the group. In this way they not only learn through play, but also grow as independent, involved people. Parents experience us as an extension of home: short lines, trust and always room for a chat.
