De Duintoppers

BSO De Duintoppers is part of KOK kinderopvang and is located in Integral Child Centre (IKC) De Duinroos at Prinses Irenelaan 49 in Katwijk. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 and work closely with primary school De Duinroos. This creates one continuous developmental line for care and education under one roof. Our site offers countless opportunities for play and learning both indoors and outdoors. We have two challenging schoolyards, the nearby Zanderij playground and an indoor gym. Our pedagogical staff collect children after school from IKC De Duinroos, Sjaloomschool, Ds. G. Voetiusschool, Groen van Prinstererschool and Leidse Buitenschool. Older children are also allowed to come to the BSO independently. We use the DoenKids activity programme. Each period we choose a current theme and offer activities in the categories Sport & Games, Music & Dance, Art & Culture and Nature. Child participation is central: children help decide on the programme and are given space to discover their own talents. We read aloud, craft, play sports and spend a lot of time outdoors. In addition, we regularly organise trips to the forest, museum, playground or beach and provide workshops that match the children's interests. BSO De Duintoppers is open from the end of the school day until 6.30 pm. Parents can choose from different care packages: care with school holidays (52 weeks), without school holidays (40 weeks), only during school holidays (12 weeks) or flexible care. This way we offer every family a suitable solution for safe, challenging and enjoyable after-school care.
