De Duikboot

Kindcentrum De Duikboot is a small-scale after-school care facility located at Marjoleintuin 58 in Leiderdorp. We are part of Kindcentrum De Voorhof, where we share the building with primary schools De Regenboog and De Hasselbraam. This unique collaboration provides children with a familiar and safe environment where they can relax, play, and discover new things after school hours. At De Duikboot, we work with two after-school care groups: one group for children aged 4 to 6 years and another for children aged 6 to 10 years. This age-based grouping allows us to perfectly tailor activities to the developmental stage and interests of the children. Our childcare professionals create a homely atmosphere where children feel free to be themselves. Our activity program is varied and challenging. We offer creative activities such as arts and crafts, where children can let their imagination run wild. Additionally, we regularly organize sports and games activities, both indoors and outdoors in our spacious garden. Nature experience is an important part of our program: we go on discovery trips in nature, learn about plants and animals, and enjoy being outside. We also make regular excursions to interesting places in the area. The collaboration with the primary schools makes it possible for children to walk directly to our after-school care after school, without parents having to pick them up and drop them off again. We work with a fixed team of childcare professionals who know the children well and provide a warm, stable foundation. During after-school care time, children receive a healthy snack and drinks, so they get new energy for the afternoon. Our location is specially designed to meet the needs of school-age children. There are quiet corners to chill or do homework, but also enough space to be active. We believe it's important that children can relax after an intensive school day and make their own choices about how they want to spend their time.
