BSO De Plataan

BSO De Plataan is located inside the primary school De Plataan at Polluxstraat 12 in the heart of Pernis, Rotterdam. We provide after-school care for up to 36 children aged 4 to 13. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 September 2023 under number 114344747. Children come to us before and after school hours and during school holidays to play. Because we are situated in the school building, our pedagogical staff walk the children to and from their classrooms—no transfers needed. We value self-direction: children decide for themselves whether to join the activity on offer. This offer is continuously enriched with ideas and input from the children themselves, ensuring the programme always matches their interests and curiosity. Our approach is playful and low-threshold. We provide calm and structure after an intensive school day, as well as space for movement, creative expression and simply enjoying each other’s company. We are open on teacher training days and during school holidays, giving parents the peace of mind that their children are in good hands. In short, BSO De Plataan is a safe, familiar place where children can be themselves, make friends and explore what engages them. We work closely with OBS De Plataan, serving as a seamless extension of the school day without ever feeling like extra work.
