de Dijkwachters

BSO de Dijkwachters is part of Stichting De Dijkbouwers and is located in two cosy classrooms within primary school De Dijk at Heiligharn 424 in Den Helder. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. The location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010 under number 259862526 and has a capacity of 42 children. Because we are situated inside the school building, children can walk safely and confidently to the after-school care after classes; there is a seamless hand-over between school and childcare. Our pedagogical staff work closely with the team of primary school De Dijk, allowing us to follow and support each child’s development effectively. The rooms are small-scale and homely, so children quickly feel at ease. We offer quiet moments for children who want to relax, but also plenty of challenges for those who want to play, craft or exercise. Outdoors, children can use the schoolyard and the immediate surroundings of the child centre. Our approach aims to give children room to make their own choices within clear boundaries. We encourage independence, cooperation and mutual respect. Thanks to the small scale, we know every child and can respond to individual needs and interests. For parents, this means their children are cared for in a familiar place where safety, development and fun are central. We welcome parent participation and believe it is important that parents stay involved in their child’s care.
