De Buitenboel

KDV De Buitenboel is a small-scale daycare centre located at Eexterweg 29 in Gieten, part of Stichting SKID Kinderopvang. We provide care for up to 28 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our focus is on green and healthy development; we are proud holders of the Green Childcare Quality Mark, awarded by Stichting Groen Cement. We operate a vertical group (0-4 years) and a separate toddler group (2-4 years). Each group has its own homely living room. We consciously choose small-scale and homely settings so every child receives the attention they deserve. Outdoor play is our standard, not an exception. Children develop gross motor skills, balance and self-confidence by rolling, crawling, running, jumping and climbing in our natural garden. For toddlers aged 2 to 4 we run a morning playgroup following the VVE programme Piramide. We stimulate your toddler's development in a playful and active way and actively involve parents in reading activities. Every Thursday afternoon we take the toddlers to the gym De Wendeling in Gieten. Our opening hours are generous: care until 18.30 and optionally from before 7.00. Half-day care is also possible. We participate in the Leesklik project and collaborate with schools, the library and the municipality of Aa en Hunze to stimulate children's language development.
