De Boezemvrienden

Welcome to KDV de Boezemvrienden, a friendly daycare centre located on the first floor of the Hoppesteijn nursing home in Rotterdam-Crooswijk. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. Older children support the younger ones, and everyone learns to take each other into account. For our oldest toddlers, we offer a dedicated toddler class with extra challenges. Our rooms follow an open-door policy: children belong to a fixed group but are free to explore adjacent areas, play, or find a quiet spot when needed. Babies have their own safe and familiar corner within the group. In our child-friendly kitchen, children love to bake cookies, cakes and other treats – always a celebration! Our outdoor space is a rooftop terrace transformed into a natural playground with plants, small trees, bikes, hoops, building materials and sports equipment. Our pedagogical staff organise daily outdoor activities so children can move and enjoy fresh air. We regularly visit the local playground, library, forest or petting zoo. The Mundo Activity Team also visits us with specialised sports, games, nature and creative activities. Each visit is a joyful surprise for the children. KDV de Boezemvrienden is easily accessible by tram 7 (Boezemweg stop, 4-minute walk), tram 8 (Zaagmolenbrug stop, 10-minute walk) and bus 46 (Boezemsingel stop, 2-minute walk). We work closely with an active parent committee. Together we create a warm, safe place where children feel at home and can develop to their full potential.
