De Berk

Welcome to daycare centre De Berk, located on the grounds of primary school Geert Holle in Berkhout. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in two age-based groups: a baby group for children from 0 to 2 years and a toddler group for children from 2 to 4 years. This horizontal grouping ensures that your child is stimulated in a way that matches his or her developmental stage. We work thematically: within each theme we offer age-appropriate and development-oriented activities, such as arts & crafts and language stimulation. Outdoor play is part of our daily programme. Whether it is sunny or rainy, the children always go outside for fresh air and to explore the natural surroundings around the school. Our toddler group prepares children aged 2 to 4 for primary school. We use daily rhythm cards so that the children can see for themselves what is on the schedule. This provides calm and structure. From the age of 2.5 we offer early childhood education (VVE). You can choose full-day care from 7:00 to 18:30 or, during school weeks, a morning session from 8:30 to 12:30. De Berk is part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland and works closely with the teachers of primary school Geert Holle.
