De Basis

Welcome to KDV De Basis, located inside Kindcentrum De Zevenster at Grote Veenbrandstraat 17 in the centre of Zevenhuizen. We provide daycare for children aged 0-4 in three horizontal age groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Our atmosphere is warm, home-like and stimulating. We follow the Kaleidoscoop Early Childhood Education programme to foster language and cognitive development. Each day follows a predictable rhythm. Babies rest in a quiet, separate room and receive individual feeding, cuddling and sensory play. Toddlers and pre-schoolers enjoy a rich variety of activities: singing and dancing with live guitar, arts & crafts with natural materials, gardening in our own vegetable patch, baking in the children’s kitchen and caring for the rabbits on our mini-farm. During summer we walk to the outdoor swimming pool and explore the village and surrounding nature. Healthy nutrition matters: organic hot meals, fresh fruit and drinks are included, as well as diapers, wipes and care products. We accommodate allergies and special diets. At pick-up and drop-off we use the Kwieb app so you can see exactly how your child’s day went. Our qualified staff are ready every day to give your child a safe, challenging and above all happy day. Close cooperation with the primary school in the same building ensures a smooth transition later on. Together we give your child the best start!
