De Aventurijn

Welcome to the daycare centre of Kindcentrum De Aventurijn, located at Henry Dunantlaan 4 in the green Griffioen neighbourhood of Middelburg. We provide daycare for children from 0 to 4 years and, together with the primary school bearing the same name, form Kindcentrum De Aventurijn. This close cooperation creates a seamless development path from childcare to education. Our daycare is divided into two groups. The youngest have their own baby corner where they can discover the world while lying, rolling and crawling. Toddlers enjoy themed activities such as ‘Building’: they learn to build with sand and water, drive a crane and dig in the sand. Outdoor play in our natural garden is a favourite: climbing trees, running through bushes, hiding in tunnels. We also love taking walks with our pram around the neighbourhood or visiting the baker. Every Tuesday afternoon our oldest children play together with children from Stichting Lentekind (0-7 years with intellectual disabilities). We alternate between outdoor play at our location and at Stichting Lentekind. Additionally, we regularly visit the ‘grandpas and grandmas’ at Hof ’t Seys, a valuable encounter for both children and residents. We believe every child should be free to be themselves, have fun together and spend plenty of time outdoors. Our stable, warm team ensures a safe and familiar atmosphere. Through the digital parent portal Mijn KOW you can follow photos and reports and find important documents. We work closely with the kindergarten groups of the primary school: there is a continuous learning line and careful handover when children move to group 1. Children who are almost four are invited to join group 1 for a session, making the transition to school much easier.
