De Astronaut

Peuterspeelzaal De Astronaut is located on the ground floor of primary school De Astronaut at Kennedylaan 1 in Leiden. We offer children aged 2 to 4 a safe, small-scale environment to play, explore and grow. Our close-knit and committed team ensures that every child can develop at their own pace and level. We work thematically and regularly align our activities with the themes covered at the primary school. This allows older toddlers to get used to the atmosphere and structure of group 1. We have our own entrance with a spacious playground and a large sandbox, where children can play to their heart's content and discover nature. At De Astronaut, learning through play is central. We offer early childhood education (VVE), which gives extra stimulation to children's language and thinking development. Our activities are designed to prepare children for primary school, without losing the element of play. Feel free to drop by for a no-obligation tour and experience how we work for yourself. We are open on weekdays from 08:30 to 12:30.
