Welcome to Dandélion day care, a small-scale daycare located on farm Midden Horst in Stoutenburg, on the edge of Leusden. Our facility at Horsterweg 26 provides care for up to 40 children aged 0 to 4 years. We believe in the power of small-scale care, where personal attention and trust are central. Our farm is situated on more than 1 hectare of private land, surrounded by nature reserve the Schammer. The space, animals, vegetable garden and seasons form the heart of our pedagogical climate. Children are given the freedom to play, discover and develop at their own pace. We work with fixed caregivers who truly see each child and provide the safety that is so important at this stage of life. The day starts calmly: if you arrive before 7:45 AM, your child first enjoys breakfast in the kitchen. This is followed by a day full of outdoor play, exploring nature, cuddling with animals and helping in the vegetable garden. We cook fresh, healthy meals ourselves and end the day with a bread meal. Often a child still wants to walk past the ponies or chickens before leaving the premises. Animals and nature are not only fun, but also contribute to children's development. We see how the seasons determine the rhythm of the year and how children learn from this. Thanks to our small scale, we can give each child the space they need, even if development proceeds differently for a while. We are there for all children – every child is welcome.
